The DAX 300 data unit and the Sealink IoT Gateway ship standard with every plan. Together they turn a vessel’s existing NMEA network into a live feed you can watch from shore.

One unit joins the existing nav network on the read side and decodes what is already there — it never writes to navigation, propulsion or safety systems.
A vessel carries two boxes. Nothing else changes.

DAX 300
The data unit on the bridge network. It takes the vessel’s own NMEA talkers and puts them on one multicast feed the gateway can read.

IoT Gateway
A small Ubuntu machine running the Sealink edge agent. It decodes the feed, downsamples on board, buffers through outages and forwards compact snapshots ashore.

Nothing we install can steer the ship.
It listens. It never talks back.
The gateway joins the navigation LAN on the read side and decodes the multicast feed. It does not control, command or write to any shipboard navigation, propulsion or safety system.
A dead sensor reads N/A, not a stale number.
Each metric expires after five seconds of silence. Nothing on shore shows a frozen value dressed up as live — if a feed stops, the instrument blanks.
Updates are verified before they install.
Over-the-air updates are content-addressed and checksum-verified by the gateway itself, and a version compare never rolls a unit backwards.
